Recently, these two engaged in a battle to the death, much to Jade's loss and subsequent death.

Given her tendency to be around during crucial moments in Jade's Empatheias life, he's trying to look into ways to repay the favor so to speak.

Like how one of her important kisses went and how she's not to be trusted in the kitchen.

Likewise, Edna does, and it shows when she approaches him about a certain incident involving a certain emperor. Jade has yet to win an argument against her, to say the least.
